Flat Out
Pacenote
Virehaste does not design the car. We write the road. The co-driver reads what the dirt will do in 0.4 seconds; the engineer logs what the diff did in the last 0.4. Between them is a number that never rests — rpm, slip, milliseconds. The stage is the page; the recce is the draft.
► Read SS3Crest & Jump
Long sixth, don't lift — crest blind, land on the apron, not the rut. Co-driver: “six left long, cre-e-e-st, jump, flat.” If the rain holds, the landing is grease. Brake after, never before.
Hairpin Mud
Fourth, heel-toe to third on entry, don't trust the apex — mud shelf breaks away. Watch the tree shadow; it means the outside wheel is in the ditch. Spin the wheel, not the car.
Chicane Slink
Second left into third right, no straight between. Trail brake the whole thing. Diff temp climbs here — telemetry will paint it red. If the note says “slippery,” double the margin, halve the ego.
